September 12, 2026. This is a great time of year if you like watching the 2 year olds. Saratoga was terrific, and this week is filled with 2 year old stakes including the G1 Natalma and Summer at Woodbine. There's something about watching the babies run that can be invigorating even to the most jaded of long time horseplayers. 

Happy to note that the Weena Wona Project had its first winner in its 7th attempt last week. It took leaving Saratoga to do it, but Majic Mooney prevailed at Kentucky Downs in yet another 2 year old race.
